Best Friends Forever
Intro:
Kyle and Cooper have been friends forever, but unlike Kyle, Cooper is attracted to men, not women. Leery of anonymous sex, Cooper wants his first time with a man to be special, with someone he trusts, and with someone who really knows how to please a man. Arriving unexpectedly at the home of Spencer Davis, Kyle’s father, Cooper has carefully devised a plan to satisfy his desire for sex with a man. Mr. Davis had told Cooper that he was always welcome in his home, but did this welcome include sharing his bed? Cooper may have to modify his seductive plan somewhat if he is to convince his best friend’s father to go as far as he hopes he will.
Story:
This was the only night in quite some time that Spencer Davis had to himself. He had just finished writing a grant proposal for his research study at the University of Michigan, and was all set to enjoy the evening in front of the television. Two of his favorite movies were showing tonight and he had planned to watch both of them in the comfort of his newly redecorated family room. He had just poured himself a drink and had gotten comfortable in his favorite chair when the doorbell rang. Not wanting to get up from the comfort of his old comfy chair, Spencer tried to ignore the intrusive sound.
The third time this piercing sound interrupted his movie, Spencer decided to go and see who was being so persistent. He turned the porch light on and opened the door. “Hi, Cooper. Are you home for the weekend? Kyle isn’t here. He might be at his mother’s house, though. You might want to check there.” “Oh, Kyle is coming into town tomorrow for the big alumni dinner at the high school. Didn’t he tell you?” Cooper asked, correcting Spencer. “No, but that’s not unusual. Since Kyle has been away at college, I usually get only tidbits of his life, and most of those tidbits I get from his good friends,” Spencer said, jokingly. He was happy to see that his son Kyle and his friends were doing so well on their own. Spencer added, “So, I guess you’ll see him tomorrow then.”
Cooper continued to stand there looking at Spencer. Spencer wanted to get back to his movie so he finally asked, “Would you like to come in, Cooper?” Spencer wondered why Cooper was still standing there, appearing to be waiting for something to happen. “Sure. Thanks, Mr. Davis.” “Now Cooper, I’m Spencer to all of you boys. You’ve been hanging out here since you and Kyle were kids. Are you staying here with Kyle this weekend? You are always welcome to, you know. You’ve always had a home here, you know that. Do you need a place to stay tonight?” Cooper looked embarrassed, though Spencer couldn’t understand why. “Well, yes, I guess I do need a place to stay.” “Well, get your stuff, Cooper. There is still a place for you here and always will be, no matter what.”
Cooper went out to his car and got his bag, and then he joined Spencer in the family room. “Here, Cooper, I’ll take your bag to the guest room. Kyle’s brother is with his mother this weekend, so he won’t be needing the room.” Spencer took Cooper’s bag to the guest bedroom at the top of the stairs and then came back into the family room. “So, tell me about school. You’re a junior now, right?” “That’s right, Mr. Davis, I mean, Spencer.” “Any plans for graduate school?” “I think so, but I’m not sure. My parents want me to try to get into Columbia and come to New York with them, but I like Michigan.” “Michigan is a good school, but Columbia, now that’s in a whole other league, you know.” Cooper smiled. He valued Spencer’s opinion, even more so tonight, though Spencer didn’t know it yet. “I think I’ll change into something more comfortable, if you don’t mind,” Cooper said. “Not at all, make yourself at home.”
Cooper went upstairs to the guest room and changed his clothes. Spencer went back to his drink and back to his movie. He turned the sound down again when he heard Cooper coming back down the stairs. When he walked into the family room, Cooper was wearing only a pair of bikini briefs, which was completely unexpected by Spencer. Cooper was gorgeous, athletic, well toned, with youthful skin that seemed to have a glow all its own, but he was also his son’s friend and his son’s age. Being a gay man, Spencer couldn’t help but stare at this young man with the perfect body. When Spencer could finally tear himself away from staring at Cooper, he asked, “Don’t you want to put some clothes on, Cooper?” Spencer had to move a little to find a more comfortable position in his chair to make room for what was beginning to rise inside his jeans. Cooper dismissed the comment about putting more clothes on, and instead he sat next to Spencer on the arm of his chair. In his skimpy bikini briefs, Spencer could see that Cooper was rising on his own, too. “Mr. Davis?” he asked. “It’s Spencer, Cooper, and you seem troubled. Want to talk about it?” “Well, you know that I know you’re gay, right?” Cooper asked shyly. “That’s right, I am gay, and I’ve never hidden that fact from you or anyone else,” he answered. “That’s what I want to talk to you about,” he said. “Sure, Cooper, we can talk about anything,” Spencer said, and turned the television down very low. “At school, for awhile now, I’ve fantasized about some of the guys I know and sometimes guys I don’t know. Sometimes I even get, well, you know, when I see a guy that I think is cute, Spencer confessed. “Well, that’s normal, Cooper. That’s what college is all about, discovering who you are, experimenting with different things,” Spencer assured him. “I just want to know what it’s like, being with a guy,” Cooper admitted. “I mean, I get really, really turned on by guys, you know,” Cooper said. “Yes, I know, Cooper.” “I’m afraid to go up to a guy even if I think he might be gay because if he isn’t, he could cause a lot of trouble for me.” “You are asking me what having sex with a man is like, right?” Spencer asked. Cooper was embarrassed now, but he still wanted to know. “Well, I guess so,” he said. “I haven’t told anyone how I feel, though, not even Kyle.” “Well, Cooper, you can trust me. Anything we say stays between us, I promise. Kyle will not hear about this from me.” “Sometimes I think about going up to a cute guy, not caring if he’s gay or not, but willing to take the chance. But then, I think that I probably shouldn’t unless I’m absolutely sure that he is gay. Do you know what I mean?” Spencer looked at Cooper with a somewhat sad expression. “Yes, Cooper, I do know, unfortunately. People react in weird ways sometimes when they find out someone is gay.” Cooper admitted to Spencer that he had considered answering personal ads that he had found on the Internet, but had heard that sometimes the ads were cover-ups for gay bashings. Spencer nodded his understanding. He felt for the boy. What he is going through is never easy. “How can I help you, Cooper? You boys mean a lot to me. I’ve known you for a long time.” “I was wondering if…,” Cooper stopped. “You were wondering what, Cooper?” “I don’t want to have sex with just anyone, or someone I met on the Internet, or in a bar. I want to have sex with a man that I know and trust,” Cooper confessed.
