Sue's Shoes and other poems by Donald Enz Sue's Shoes and other poems by Donald Enz Jan. 29, 2012 $0.99 3502 words Sample 25%
Author bio:
I was born in 1946 and raised in central Illinois. During my youth, I was lucky to be able to visit my parent's families each summer in two very small towns and had, in my opinion, free range over what I did. It was a great and unique experience that allowed my imagination to grow wild. I started to write and paint at a very early age and have been lucky to be able to continue my creativity my entire life. To do so has caused many difficulties at times, but I wouldn't trade a second of it. Being creative and being able to express myself in paintings, sculptures, and writing has made me a better person. I recommend creative freedom to everyone. I have a BS degree in English, an MA in sculpture, and an MFA in ceramics.

Laughing Day/El Día para Reír by Tim 'Dr. Hope' Anders Laughing Day/El Día para Reír by Tim 'Dr. Hope' Anders Dec. 15, 2011 $2.99 2931 words Sample 50%
Author bio:
Tim ‘Dr. Hope’ Anders is an award-winning children’s book author who writes under the pseudonym Dr. Hope, J.A.P.D. (Just A Pretend Doctor). Born in New York City, he learned a spirit of optimism and humor from his mother that would stick with him throughout his life. When he was forcibly separated from her at an early age, these lessons empowered him to cope with his ever-changing surroundings. He credits his mother, the heroine of Everybody Calls My Father, Father, as his inspiration for his many value based children’s books. Dr. Hope vowed that one-day he would give children the same tools that had helped him cope with difficult situations and disagreeable people. And boy, did he. From the promise he made to himself came the award winning "Life Lessons Series," a series of children's books that teach children "life" lessons in entertaining and amusing ways. Among the titles he has written are Laughing Day, The Frog Who Couldn’t Jump, Chip, the Little Computer, Punctuation Pals, Wonderful Wuzs and Little Miss Contradiction. His children's books are available to read or purchase at: http://laughingday.com His books for grownups are available at http://DrHope.com Tim ‘Dr. Hope’ Anders is also a talented piano player, composer, lyricist, and producer. He has teamed up with Comic/Actor/Singer Russ T. Nailz and together they have created a series of delightfully humorous children's CDs and cassettes. On the CDs Dr. Hope's stories are brought to life through talented voice actors, special audio effects, heart-felt background music, and delightfully humorous songs that make kids think and laugh. Christmas Poems by Sophie Duncan Christmas Poems by Sophie Duncan Dec. 05, 2011 $0.99 1482 words Sample 20%
Author bio:
I also write with my sister under Tasha-and-Sophie Duncan, and for some of my adult fiction as A D Benedict. By day I am a project manager developing IT solutions for a large company in the South East of England. By night, you'll find me scribbling away at many a story that just won't leave me alone. I've been writing since I was a wee thing, and publishing since I discovered the internet in 1994 or so. So what do I write? Contemporary and urban fantasy have mainly been my playground, but I have done some real world settings as well. I do like mystery and have been reading (and watching) Agatha Christie since I was a child. I've also been known to do a bit of poetry. Style: I have been told I do angst well, so if you want your heartstrings twanged, or your tummy to tie in knots until the end, then I'm your gal. I am, however, a happy ending junkie, although I do throw a hint of realism in there sometimes as well. I like a few twists and turns on the way in some of my plots, although I have written my share of PWPs as well. I have to admit a small obsession with eyes: I believe they are the seat of beauty in a person, so I play with them in creature fic and use them for expression in others - personal hang up, sorry. Also, I have never met a cliché I didn't like and I am a firm believer that cliché is fine if you do it right. Writing is a passion and there's nothing better than writing for an audience. Any writer who says they don't care about feedback must have had an ego amputation :) If you life my scribbles, I'd be very glad to hear from you.

I have been writing for about twenty-five years, while working firstly as a Registered Nurse and later as a Farm Insurance Underwriter. My first four novels were mainly for learning purposes and have long since been discarded – something I now regret. One of them was accepted for publication as an audio book, but the company went out of business before it could be processed. That gave me the encouragement I needed to keep on writing. I have since written two romance novellas. Since retiring, or rather – re-wiring, I have taken up amateur photography and am combining it with writing limericks, to produce photo album books about care for the environment, respect for all life-forms and the value of fruits and vegetables in our diets. These are aimed at children. I live in the beautiful Lanark Highlands of Eastern Ontario with my husband Don, and a very independent cat named Little Bud. You can contact me at dynamac58.yahoo.ca
